Hello anyone who is reading this. Just letting you know I love you. And because I love you I will explain why my blog is named Emmia and Kirk because you're probably asking "Why is this person's blog named Emmia and Kirk?
Well I know that everyone is a child of God and these names, Emmia and Kirk have a lot of special meanings to me, one being I would like to name my kids these names among many others. But to explain their significance I have to explain their origins.
Emmia when rearranged says "I am me." I made it up myself. . . at least I think I did. The Spirit might have helped on that one :) I want my daughter to know who she is by knowing who I am and all her family that came before her. So when she says I am me it isn't self-centered and it isn't just her. Solo. Uno. Just one. When people say her name I want her to think of all her ancestors and of her Heavenly Father who loves her for who she is. I want her to have confidence in God and in herself. That is what her name will mean.
Kirk is a little easier. Kirk was the name of my grandpa who is still very near and dear to me. He passed away when I was seven but I still know he is watching over me. Kirk means church. Have you ever seen a church? Some are HUGE! and they have all these amazing strong silhouettes. Many are here to bring us spiritual strength and truth into our lives. That is what I want my son to remember when people call his name; his grandpa and his ability to help people be strong and find truth. That is what his name will mean.
I want you to think of your name. How special it is to you. It is your name. I want you to picture someone you love saying your name.
This blog is for Emmia and Kirk. A daughter that feels she doesn't have worth or she can't do this. A son coasting through life trying to find his dream. A daughter who has a husband and children. A son who has a job and school to juggle. A child who has the drive to get what they want. A child who doesn't know what they want. Basically this blog's for everybody. Every son or daughter here on earth looking for some strength and a sense of belonging. Enjoy :)
